Additionally, carefully review and acknowledge the Conditions of Hire and Alcohol Policy. You must also complete and return the Booking Form/Hire Agreement and sign that you have read and agree to abide by the Lochranza and Catacol Village Hall's Condition of Hire and the Alcohol Policy Form. General Pricing
A minimum hire charge of 2 hours applies. A deposit of £250 is required on bookings for large events such as Weddings, Parties, and Musical Events. This will be returnable one week after the event when the premises have been found to be in satisfactory condition. Settlement of the full hire cost is required two weeks prior to the event.
Commercial Rate - Apply where the hall hirer keeps proceeds from the event. Discounts available for multiple bookings. Hourly Rate - Main Hall: (Non-Commercial) £30 per hour. (Commercial) £45 per hour. Small Hall: Stage/Committee Room (Non-Commercial) £20 per hour. (Commercial) £40 per hour. Non-Commercial rates apply where the event is staged for a charity or non-profit making organisation ie. Cubs, Brownies, Badminton, Art Groups, Creche, Choir, Bowles. Daily Rate - Main Hall (Non-Commercial) £300 Main Hall (Commercial) £450 |
Wedding Pricing
Wedding hire charges allow the hirer 48 hours access to the hall for setting up, decorating, clearing up etc. (ie, for a Saturday wedding the hirer would have access to the hall from 12 noon on Friday - 12 noon on Sunday).
Local Weddings - Hall premises only £600 Hall premises and grounds for a marquee £750 Non-Local Weddings* - Hall premises only £1050 Hall premises and grounds for a marquee £1200 *(£200 Discount for 2nd Home owner) |
Other/Special Event Pricing
Hall hire for weekend stays (ie Boys Brigade, Scouts etc.) excluding electricity £450.

Stewards - When hire is for the purpose of a dance/disco/live music performance, the responsibility lies with the hirer to ensure that the event is properly stewarded. If the hirer is under 21 there must be at least 1 adult steward per 15 paying customers. If the hirer is over 21 this ratio must be at least 1:25.
Insurance - On commencement of hire, the hirer will be solely responsible for Public Liability Insurance and as such is strongly recommended to take out insurance with a minimum indemnity limit of £1M (one million pounds sterling). The insurance must extend to indemnify the insured for damage to leased, rented or hired premises up to the policy indemnity limit.
